Does Acupuncture Provided Within a Managed Care Setting Meet Patient Expectations and Quality Outcomes?
A retrospective study of 89,000 patients indicates that American Specialty Health-managed acupuncture networks improve the quality of care and service for patients, successfully treat patients’ conditions, and have a positive impact on how patients view their health plan. In addition, findings demonstrate that patient satisfaction with acupuncture services can be maintained at or above national CG-CAHPS benchmarks in a managed care environment.
